This is an important acclimatization day where you ascend to Lava Tower before descending. The landscape changes to alpine desert with dramatic rock formations. Although challenging, this helps your body adapt to altitude. Barranco Camp is located in a beautiful valley.
Today you climb the famous Barranco Wall, a thrilling but non-technical climb. After the wall, the trail continues through ridges and valleys. The scenery is breathtaking with views of glaciers and peaks. This is a shorter but important acclimatization day.
The trail becomes more rocky and dry as you approach the summit base camp. This is a crucial preparation day for the final ascent. Climbers rest early to prepare for midnight summit attempt. The environment is cold and harsh.
You begin your summit attempt at midnight under the stars. The climb is steep and challenging but rewarding. Reaching Uhuru Peak gives unforgettable sunrise views over Africa. After celebrating, you descend to Mweka Camp for rest.
This is the final descent through lush rainforest back to Mweka Gate. You receive your summit certificate and celebrate your achievement. The journey ends with transfer back to hotel. A proud and emotional finishing day.
